How I can Help You

Currently, my private practice specializes in substance abuse, mental health disorders, and co-occurring disorders.

I have extensive treatment experience working with both children and adults, and on a wide spectrum of diagnoses including chronic mental illness, suicidality, PTSD, anxiety, depression, grief and loss, and relational conflict.  I strive to work with my clients where they’re at, in order to best help you in a way that will be effective both in the moment and long-term.  My methods have proven to be long-lasting in the sense that I work with my clients in a way that promotes growth, as well as the ability to use the tools taught in session to get through difficult situations on your own.

Individual Therapy

Typically, clients struggling with substance use or mental illness attend therapy as individuals.  However, as treatment and sobriety evolve, it is quite common for clients to want to involve their significant other, children, or other family members in the process.  This is a great step in recovery and helps in repairing the relationships that may have been damaged.

In these cases, my specialty in child and adolescent therapy and experience in working with couples and family will greatly benefit your goals and progress.

Co-Occurring Disorders

Co-occurring disorders also known as dual diagnoses, are the presence of both a substance use disorder and mental health disorder.

Some clients begin therapy aware of an existing disorder, others may be seeking therapy due to substance use and discover an underlying disorder through the course of treatment.  Whether or not you have an additional condition, I am trained to make the proper diagnoses for both substance use and mental health.  This will help us in determining the course of action that best suits your needs.
